Review for Philips Key005 128MB MP3 Player:
Great little mp3 player for short walks and runs!
I would just like to say that before the ipod we had these and then ipod suddenly bring out there new creation the: IPOD SHUFFLE - the design is typical ipod (64mb one is white) just it was made many years previous before apple...anyway after saying this I really like philip keys - they are neat and are just basically top spec pen drives that play music - if you want to look cool and not look like every person on the planet using an ipod hardware that requires you to you use"ipod tunes" get this its so easy to transfer music you dont need some compulsory nonsense sofware to upload tunes! uses 2 formats in wma and mp3 formats - only flaw with philip key is that you cannot skip through a track - other comments suggest that it would be good to have buttons on the device but its really not needed when you have them on the strap - I say neat with the flashing orange light (download mode) and green light (charge mode!!) old technology (hehe! dare I say old it is mp3!) that still rocks!51

I think this mp3 player is really good as it has quality sound and its easy to use, but the only thing it lacks is the navigation function which allows u to get to the song u want to listen to faster. Apart frm that i would say id recommend it.55

No PC needed to charge it... But the noise!
As a flash drive this player does everything you would expect: creating folders, dragging-and-dropping, moving and deleting files, etc. It is also one of the few MP3 players around that uses an AAA battery, so no dependence on being near a PC to charge it up, or having to buy a dual-voltage mains charger for travelling. Regrettably, these are traded off against its poor sound quality and inadequate volume level. It sounds fine with the supplied demo pop tracks, but when faced with the challenge of a few classical pieces it doesn't measure up. In quiet passages there is noticeable canary-like noise, and loud passages just weren't, well, loud.Sorry, Philips, but this is no match for the Sony B105 for around the same price, albeit with its PC-tethered charging.
