earhook headphones
Been looking for headphones that I can use in the gym and running outdoors and these are excellent. I had previously bought some really modern ones like the sony mdr j10's and they just do not stay put, these philips ones are just the job and good quality sound.3

Review for Philips SHC2000/05 Wireless Headphone:
Good make... average headphones.
Sound quality on these is very good. However, further to"ordinary customers" comments, the range is very limited - you have to sit tight on your sofa and remember not to walk to the kitchen or you'll get deafening white noise in your ears! This seems to defeat the object of having them wireless. Our cat has recently chewed through the IR wire and now we only have sound from one earpiece. I have just put an order in for the Thomson equivalent, much longer range so fingers crossed on the quality.4

PROBLEM
They sounded great but, the lousy ear buds too easily came apart from the earphones and were lost
INSULT TO INJURY
Philips customer service were useless; completely uninterested; they don't stock repacements,"goodbye".
OUTCOME
Don't waste your money on Philips earphones.

Review for Philips SHN2500/00 Noise Canceling Headphone:
There is a low background hiss which, if used in an environment that isn't that noisy, can become irritating, and for that reason, I felt only three, and not four stars, were appropriate.
The battery compartment and amplification unit can get in the way from time to time, but can be hung very conveniently around your neck.
To the comments previously about the rubber ear-buds. Yes, they come off, and yes, I lost one. Even tho' Philips do not supply replacements, they are not unique to Philips. Replacement earbuds for Sennheiser CX300 are identical to the ones supplied by Philips - I know, I bought some.

Great entry level headphones
I bought these as an impulse purchase for a couple of flights I had booked, and they really do cancel out all manner of low level noises. Naturally, they are not priced up with other more superiors headphones, but for the price these were an excellent investment. There is a low background hiss which, if used in an environment that isn't that noisy, can become irritating, and for that reason, I felt only three, and not four stars, were appropriate.

Review for Philips SBCHE590/00 In-Ear Headphones:
The only downside to these is the volume adjuster as I generally find these complicate matters if you want to get a good sound.
Compared to the Sony headphones I had before, however, these are a marked improvement. They don't block as much sound but the cord has lasted much longer and I don't hear as much of the 'cord noise' you often get with in-ear headphones.

Try and Try Again
These are very similar to the ones I've been using for two years. I only just now lost one rubber earpiece and so will have to buy a new pair. For those of you who say they don't fit - you need to try all the sizes to find a proper seal. They should go well into the ear, not just sit in it. This will also improve the sound quality. You may have to reach one arm over and tug up the tip of your ear to get a good fit when you first put them in - just as you generally have to do with earplugs. The only downside to these is the volume adjuster as I generally find these complicate matters if you want to get a good sound.

Review for Philips SHE9501/00 In-Ear Headphones:
they where most definately the best in-earphones I have ever brought, but £25+ is not worth it. I noticed after two weeks of use [at least 3-4 hours a day 5 days a week]that the sound wasn't as excellent as it first was, then last week the right sides bass boost busted. So when they are on, you get a nice rich base tone with excellent treble on the left while the right just plays the treble, it's listenable unless you are really into rock and generally bass-y stuff.
the most annoying thing now is that since the the right sides bass has gone, I get a constant whistling noise. The earphone has a bass hole for some soundto come out to counter act outside noise, so now whenever they are on outside the wind makes them whistle.
although these are really really good, when they are in good working order. If you buy these make sure you can get a replacement if they break.
I did feel in large part I paid £[...] for gold connectors, which to be honest don't make a difference.

I brought these from argos and sadly didn't keep the receipt [I just assume things will work for a long period of time.they where most definately the best in-earphones I have ever brought, but £25+ is not worth it. good sound but gave me a headache
The sound quality is good and the bass is pretty punchy. Despite this i cant really recommend them. I'm pretty sensitive when it comes to headphones especially inner ear headphones. When I tried these they were ok but use over a about an hour made be feel dizzy and gave me a bit of a headache.Overall i'd say get the Sony MDR-EX71SLB Fontopia Headphones as I've had no problems with them and there of a very similar construction

I'd like to say that these headphones are really great, the sound quality is really good although can be fuzzy at times(but not very often). Worth buying and they are reasonably priced to.1-20 21-40

Over Rated
Maybe I was expecting too much of these headphones, but I was very disappointed in them. I bought them to replace those which came with my MP3 player as they dont have ear hooks, and they are much worse than those which came with my player. They hiss constantly when plugged in when no music is playing which is really annoying and the playback sound is tinney with very little bass. The ear hooks are fine but over all I am very dissappointed - If you like your music to sound its best through decent quality speakers, do yourself a favour and avioid these, there are much better earphones available out there
