Could be better
This is not at all bad for an entry level MP3 player. It is quite stylish and the music is very easy to load. The radio is self-tuning to 10 stations. Sound quality is good and the controls are also easy to use. However, there are some problems with the use of SMV video files when utilising conversion software: the picture pulses annoyingly once per second. I am currently giving this the benefit of the doubt in case I am doing something wrong. Treat it solely as a music player and everything is fine.105

I made the biggest mistake of my life buying this television 3 months ago (not from Amazon).
It became faulty almost immediately and has been back with Philips for repairs 3 times now - each time being returned with exactly the same fault.
Philips after-sales service is shocking, I have had to take so many days off of work for collection delivery for this piece of crap - and Philips just want to keep repairing it! I'm a quarter of the way through my warranty and it's still got the original fault.
Take my advice - buy another make - any other make - just not Philips. They are an absolutely appalling company with shoddy products and the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life.

The picture is bright and bold - though skin tones rarely look natural.
On watching movies in a dimly lit room the gloss black case only goes to show that"black" on the picture isn't quite as black as it should be. Looking even slightly at an angle to the screen this gets worse. Having compared with a few others maybe this is just a feature of LCDs - I'm not sure this one is that much better or worse than similar offerings.
The bit that really offends my eye however is there is something very odd going on when things move....whilst you can notice it on normal pictures as moving picture being a bit"blurry" perhaps the proof is on titles which over a certain speed become absolutely illegible (considerably more so than the same material on my old TV and on both analogue and digital signals).
So in summary....I'm not glad I bought it.

Hmmm......

Great portable camera
When i got this camera i was very pleased with it and would sugest it to anyone after a good portable camera/camcorder for going on holiday etc... It's size and weight means that you can just slip it into a pocket and almost forget that your carrying it and hence you dont have to lug it around as you have to with most cameras. the LCD screen is great and its very good that you can play back your pictures and videos with sound aswell. The MP3 playback is OK but because of the memory size, i tend to use mine for taking pictures and videos and store only a few tracks on it. But i higly recommmend this to anyone looking for a useful portable camera/camcorder/MP3 for going on holiday/travelling etc....112

Good at the price!
If you are looking for a really simple pair of speakers for your pc, that don't look too naff, then these do the job perfectly. Sound is as good as can be expected for the price. Fairly large, especially in height, so not the most discreet speakers to put on your desk. Nice feature is built-in volume and headphone socket. I just can't emphasize enough that at this price-point they are a good value for not a lot of money!115

No PC needed to charge it... But the noise!
As a flash drive this player does everything you would expect: creating folders, dragging-and-dropping, moving and deleting files, etc. It is also one of the few MP3 players around that uses an AAA battery, so no dependence on being near a PC to charge it up, or having to buy a dual-voltage mains charger for travelling. Regrettably, these are traded off against its poor sound quality and inadequate volume level. It sounds fine with the supplied demo pop tracks, but when faced with the challenge of a few classical pieces it doesn't measure up. In quiet passages there is noticeable canary-like noise, and loud passages just weren't, well, loud.Sorry, Philips, but this is no match for the Sony B105 for around the same price, albeit with its PC-tethered charging.

Good Stuff
Overall this is a great TV, it has everything you would expect of a TV of this standard, quick channel changing, easy menus, a great deal of handy features & loads of image & sound enhancing technology.A great buy at this price though, i don't think you can find a TV with as many features as this at the same size for any cheaper.

A lot more useful than it looks
I only bought this clock because I wanted a nice looking clock that was going to be accurate. This one is one of those radio controlled clocks that sets itself automatically, and it's very nice looking so I picked it up.The weather aspect of it (the top left corner glows different colours for different weather, e.g. Red for Storms, blue for clouds, white for snow, orange for clear skies etc), wasn't a reason I bought it, but now it's the part I like the most. You put two AA batteries in a little box that you stick outside, and from the humidity and temperature the clock shows the predicted weather with different colours. This turned out to be really useful, waking up in the morning to the radio and seeing when you open your eyes if it's going to be an umbrella day or not.
And it looks very nice, the colours are bright and cast a nice light onto the clock, and the display is adjustably backlit which is handy for bedside lights.
Very nice clock/weather station, also very solid build quality. Def. recommended.
