Amazing!

You know how every now and then these days something happens and it makes you feel good, well this is it for me.
My old Sky HD remote was getting past it so I ordered this replacement from Buyme through Amazon and to my surprise and delight it was despatched the same day and arrived next morning which is great service in itself. To add to that I also received an e-mail from Buyme telling me how to set up my new remote to work with my Panasonic TV together with a full list of the possible codes. The remote is exactly as supplied with the Sky HD box but at an excellent price. A great product at a great price and a super service from Buyme!

Philips Does It Again.

I have always liked Philips products for their features and value for money, although I judge each product and compare to other brands.
The DVP3520/5 is another example of an excellent product from this Company.
It is very simple to set up straight out of the box. I simply connected it in to my existing setup.
The unit plays pretty much any format you can throw at it including of course DivX which is the unofficial internet standard for video. Once you have downloaded your video there is no need to burn it to DVD simply drag and drop the file on to a USB flash drive and you can plug it into the player and play movies straight off the drive. Also if you insert a flash drive into the unit and pop a CD into the disc drive it will rip the CD in to the MP3 format and save it on your flash drive brilliant.
If you have a compatable TV you will benefit from the progressive scan feature giving you a much better picture.
I was also impressed with the remote control which is easy to use and logically laid out - quite unusual on such a cheap unit I find.
The unit is region 1 only however a quick search on the internet reveals the code needed to make it into a multi region unit.
Absolute bargain.

A great player for young girls

I bought this for my 5 year olds birthday and it is perfect for her needs. The sound is ok, not the best but you get what you pay for.
The player is lightweight and easy to transport around.

I would recommend this item for any young girl wanting a small CD Player.

cd player

I purchased this phillips cd/radio/cassette player after reading the glowing reports from other customers, I was not disapointed the sound is very good and very easy to understand how everything works. It a nice compact size, ordered the silver one expecting it to be all silver, when it arrived the front was silver and the rest in white, I would 100% recommend this to anyone.

not very good

i got the Philips SBCHC8440/05 Wireless HiFi because i needed a good wireless headphones. they started out alright with the sound qulity alright but after only 4 uses the base unit stoped working it will charge the headpnones but it will not send the sound to the headpnone so not great i hope this helps

This is a basic phone and looks a bit bulky and unstylish, but it does the job. The range isn't that good as I can't use it upstairs, but for the price you pay, you can't expect too much from it I guess. It would be nice to buy a better and slimmer phone with a wider range, but for now this one will have to do.

Good value for money

Bought these headphones for an elderly relative who is deaf.They come with a long lead which is very useful and he has found them easy to use.An excellent buy for the price.

Plays anything, easy to convert to multiregion

Have large DVD (multiregion) collection & video files to play. Bought this to be able do it all.

Easy to 'hack' to multiregion - no need to pay extra - took me less than 30 seconds - see any of the main websites for codes & use the same Philips code as other recent hacks e.g. DVP3560. I understand that this is not illegal but an agreement between hollywood & the DVD manufacturers.

This plays not only any DVD I've thrown at it but also all the video files from my computer - transfer to a memory stick, plug into the front USB socket & it plays them all so far without any problems.

I cannot comment on backwards TV compatibility (see other comments) as I'm still using my old CRT TV via a scart lead but picture is v good.

Can't rate this player highly enough - cheap, plays anything & now multiregion!

Great inernet radio

Would highly recomend this product great price,easy to set up and the player is nice looking. Good range of music stations to pick from all listed under Genres or by doing a manual search, easy to connect to amplifier instructions simple to understand.

an idea

The picture is excellent, but unable to upload software updates, so I'm wondering whether this unit is out of date? The remote needs to be in different colours as cannot see buttons in the dark (watch tv in bed.) Have stuck on coloured plastic dots to highlight different buttons!!!

Great gadget

This is a super DVD player - I am no gadget expert but as a DVD player to entertain my two young kids in the car on holiday and on flights etc, it is fabulous. Having previously owned a different Philips the progress they have made with the battery life, picture and product design is evident. I found the DVD fitted on the armrest between the front seats so both kids could see it and was reasonably stable without using the rather cumbersome car mount. I am very happy with the picture and sound though I am no technical expert - and more importantly so are the kids. Great to have a 6-hr battery life, very handy on planes etc. Highly recommended!

Awesomeness

I would recommend these earphones for anyone. I've been using these for at least five years after going through dozens of different in ear ones. I was even tempted to splurge for a set of Skullcandy ones, but these are the ones I trust. Yes, they are a tad on the large side and you can't change that, but they fit my ears so I like em! Perfect amount of bass when teh equaliser fails to give me what I need on my iPod. I no longer use the earphones that come with MP3's, I just use these. I've so far converted four friends to these sets and I still will! Although...maybe not from Amazon...cheaper in Clas Ohlson...

Junk

I got this today and was at first surprised by its compact shape and good quality sound from the radio. However, thats the plus side, the down side you cannot turn off the alarm! Its eitheir on or the radio is on but the function for tuning it off completely doesn't work

I've bought a few Philips products in the last few years as I bought a tv and felt the other items ould be of the same high quality...I was wrong, cheap tosh.

DAB HI-FI

I purchased this DAB Hi-Fi system as a replacement for my existing Hi-Fi which had broken, I checked a few reviews and decided that this system would suit me, the price was good and the item was available for immediate delivery. I have been pleased with the sound quality of the DAB radio, but I cannot comment on the CD player as I have not tried it yet, I'm sure that anyone who decides to purchase this item will be pleased with it.

sky remote

I purchased this remote as my other one was on its way out. This remote was terrible the buttons are difficult to press can not program it properly with tv you put the code in works on tv once then stops. It is cheaply made. Would have returned it but the price it would cost to repost it would make it not worth my while. I guess you get what you pay for will only buy the genuine thing now.

No volume for a boom box

This product was ordered to offer volume for an outside concert - it failed to deliver this. The maximum volume is no more than many small, cheap cd players with poor quality sound. I was very disappointed.

Very Good

I have tried in ear headphones (with and without earhooks), but these are very good. Not only do they stay in my ears when running or cycling, they also have very good sound quality.
